About me

Coach Mark - Certified Personal Trainer and Performance Coach  CPR/AED Certified

M.S - Applied Physics (Yes, I'm more than just an athlete). University of New Orleans

I am a health and fitness addict. I love working out, but I also love eating. Being from New Orleans, I am no stranger to carb rich, heavily fried foods. Potatoes, baked macaronis, fried seafood all make my mouth water. I haven't even began to address the deserts (cakes, pies, pecan candy or pralines) however, I have also seen too many friends and family members quality of life be drastically changed due to Cancer, obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure just to name a few issues. I believe the majority of our health issues are related to the foods we eat and therefore I choose to walk a different path. My purpose here is to encourage you to walk that same path away from health problems or even an early grave. There is satisfaction in eating fresh vegetables, fruits, and consuming juices! These aid your body in healing and reverse the damage that we have unknowingly done to our own bodies.

Putting good fuel into your machine is only the first part of the equation. The next part is to run that machine. In this case, your body is the machine! Exercising is key to flush out bad toxins, get in good oxygen, and keep your body pumping healthy blood to and through your heart as it should be. I believe that you are never too old or too young to get active and I want to help you along the way.

For the athletes-
I am a former highschool and collegiate track and field runner. My dream was always to make it to the Olympics! Unfortunately, coaching issues combined untimely injuries led me to never realized my full potential. That desire to become better has lead me to study some of the great coaching minds of Track and Field. I feel my own personal successes, failures and knowledge can help me to help you achieve your own goals and possibly even greater!

  1. Hi,
I'm interested in joining your group. However, I would like to know a little more about the class level. Honestly, I'm out of shape and do not currently work out, do I have been a fitness pro already? Second question what time do you meet on MWF? Thanks
